Our Faith
Discover the ancient Orthodox Christian Church founded by Jesus Christ, the Son of God, through His sacrifice on the cross and by the descent of the Holy Spirit 2000 years ago, which has continued uninterrupted until today through apostolic succession.
Our Parish
We are an Orthodox parish with an ethnic Romanian background formed both by immigrants and Canadian born members. We observe our uniquely Romanian culture and traditions while affirming the ancient Orthodox faith as defined in the first seven ecumenical councils.
Our Services
We gather every Sunday morning to worship together in the Holy Liturgy. We confess our Orthodox faith, the Nicene Creed, and then call the Holy Spirit to come upon us and upon our gifts of bread and wine to make them the Body and Blood of Christ and we commune with it following His words: “I am the bread of life…Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” (John 6,48;54)
Our Church
Our church is beautifully adorned with hand scripted iconography that introduce you to the life of Jesus and the Bible and with a hand crafted wooden iconostasis that covers the altar. Accompanying the ancient art of iconography is Byzantine chant, a tradition whose origins lie in the times of the Apostles. Incense used in the services, symbolizing our prayers rising to God, adds to one's spiritual experience. Come and see! You will taste the Kingdom of Heaven!
